CYC hosted a "Tiny Human Trainer Class" on Saturday. We welcomed Conneaut Girl Scout Troop #80014 to join us in learning all about the skills needed to be a responsible babysitter.
We started off the day with milk, danish and fresh fruits. Had a nice learning session about everything from why babysit to how react in emergency situations. The kiddos then practiced diaper and clothes changing, wrapping a baby, making formula, cereal, and they learned they liked jar baby fruits. The kiddos got binders with first aid kits, gloves thermometer, babysitting paperwork from meeting a family and info to how dos. Had another learning session on how and what to do to be a responsible babysitter in someone's home. The kiddos had Pizza, grapes, apples and oranges for lunch.
Jasmine Neal from Healing Hearts came in and taught the kiddos about 1st aid and how to handle medical emergencies and certified them in CPR. To end our day we had a DQ cake (Thank You, Mr Keith) and spent some time with our new friends playing games until pick up time It was a wonderful program that we plan on offering again. Please contact us to get on the list for our next class.
